About Us
We are the Society of Hadith Sciences, a pioneering Iraqi scientific association founded by eminent university professors, in accordance with Law No. 55 of 1981, amended. We are authorized by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as per Ministerial Order No. (3411), issued on May 11, 2010.
With sincerity and dedication, we strive to fulfill our primary mission of purifying the Hadith heritage by applying meticulous scrutiny to both the chain of narration (isnad) and the content (matn). We employ modern scientific methodologies and leverage research advancements to attain a precise understanding of Prophetic traditions.
Through our educational programs, lectures, and workshops, we endeavor to encourage and enhance scholarly research in the fields of Hadith and Islamic sciences. We focus on facilitating the means and resources necessary for research, both within Iraq and beyond its borders.
We blend tradition with progress, drawing from classical knowledge while embracing modern scientific and technological developments to achieve optimal outcomes. We also aim to attract experts and enthusiasts in the realm of Hadith sciences, as well as related fields like interpretation, language, jurisprudence, and history.
Our elected administrative body works diligently to organize and coordinate the activities and programs we offer, supported by a qualified team of administrative personnel. Our headquarters is situated in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, where we resonate with the spirit of profound Islamic scholarship and heritage.
